Terms of Business

You are deemed to be in control of your motorcycle at all times and responsible for your own actions while riding it

If you are given an instruction which you feel is unsafe for you to carry out you should do what you believe to be safe

Courses may be booked as either one student to one trainer (1 to 1) or a maximum of two students per trainer (1 to 2) when the students are of similar ability and on comparable machines

You must be fit to ride and not under the influence of alcohol or any drug prescribed or otherwise which could impair your judgement or control of your motorcycle. We reserve the right to refuse or stop instruction if the instructor deems you unfit for any reason and in that case your fee will be forfeit

Hold a full licence and current insurance

Meet the minimum eyesight requirements of the Driving Standards Agency

Wear appropriate safety equipment and clothing to at least the legal minimum requirements and the SortedRide high visibility vest

Be taxed

Be roadworthy

If applicable, have an up to date M.O.T certificate

Be capable of the national limit (70 m.p.h.)

Run with dipped headlamp or daytime running lights

Your motorcycle helmet should be capable of accepting a small radio speaker unless it is already equipped to receive bike-to-bike radio communication (PMR 446). If your helmet is fitted with an Autocom headset and an Autocom 5 pin or 7 pin connector it can be left in place as our radio equipment is compatible

Where it is not possible to fit a speaker into your helmet we will provide MP3 type earbud headphones

Our tariff may include lower rates for booking multiple days or sessions, the discounts are for booking several days or sessions at the same time, they do not have to be consecutive

Courses can also be extended subject to availability and any lower rate applicable to the longer course will apply

If you cancel and we are able to re-sell course time to another customer then your money for that time will be returned. If we are not able to re-sell the course time your deposit will be forfeit

If you need to re-schedule your original booked course dates we will always try to accommodate with alternative dates so that your original deposit is applied to your new dates and not forfeit

If we cancel any course time due to extreme weather or instructor's unavailability we will arrange alternative course time with you or refund your money for that cancelled course time

We will not be liable for any consequential expenses or losses

We work very hard to make your course one of your greatest riding development experiences and we are always looking for ways to improve it. If there is any way that you feel we could improve it please let us know at suggestions@sortedride.co.uk

Fees may change from time to time; the fee prevailing at the time of booking applies

Deposits should be paid within seven days of booking to reserve your dates/sessions

Any balance payment should be made in full before your course time commences
